Defining EdTech Quality: Webinar hosted by the World Bank

There is a fast-paced growth in the plethora of edtech solutions, tools, and platforms, including learning, pedagogy and administrative functions. Too often, policymakers and institutional managers must make rapid decisions related to procurement and/or in-house development of such solutions in an environment of growing choice overload.

This requires relevant knowledge and independent expertise for auditing, certifying, assessing, purchasing, implementing at scale and evaluating the contextual effectiveness and efficacy of such edtech from a technological, pedagogical, and ethical standpoint. Recognizing this need, the webinar will bring together thought experts, researchers and practitioners from India, Finland, UK and US that are helping schools, districts, and education policymakers to take an evidence-based approach in the development and/or procurement of digital products and services. Speakers will provide technical insights and share promising practices for ensuring quality and ethical standards in edtech procurement that will serve the learner and learning.
